Modern Web Tech & Game Design
2130 Studios is where I merge my passion for video games with my love of learning new technology. It's a solo side project that lets me explore creative ideas, experiment with the latest web tools, and build something meaningful. There's no corporate checklist here, just genuine interest in making something that people would actually want to play.
I have 25 years of IT and Development Experience in multiple environments. Getting back into gaming has brought out the desire to create something that others can enjoy using the tools I've gathered throughout my career.
Every project here represents a deep dive into specific technical challenges: state management at scale, real-time database architecture, platform integration, and creating systems that are both powerful and maintainable. I openly make use of AI tools and generative tech throughout the development process—not to replace the craft, but to amplify it and move faster. This portfolio showcases not just what was built, but how it was built.
Game State Management
Complex React hooks managing player inventory, economy systems, health, debt calculations, and real-time game state. Handles 31-day gameplay loops with persistent updates and smooth user interactions.
Backend & Authentication
Supabase PostgreSQL for game session logging, player profiles, and leaderboards. Google OAuth and Channel 3 platform integration for seamless account management across platforms.
Full-Stack Architecture
Next.js 16 with React 19, Tailwind CSS for responsive UI, OKLch color system, and performance-optimized components. Server-side rendering for SEO and fast initial page loads.
